Course description

In a world which is becoming increasingly interconnected and in which employers value the highly sought-after skills of communication, intercultural sensitivity and inference, why not choose to study Spanish?

The A-Level course in Spanish aims to develop fluent, confident speakers who can accurately manipulate and use a range of sophisticated vocabulary, high-register grammar and apply strong cultural, historical and political knowledge to discuss complex issues in the language.

The course represents a far more in-depth examination of Hispanic Society compared to GCSE and enables students to fully engage with historic and contemporary issues such as the rights of women, the changing face of the family and the influence of the church, the Civil War and unemployment.
